Maison NouNou 20 years of friendship, and 10 years of NouNou. Maison NouNou celebrates the 10th anniversary of NouNou, a project created together by Jean Jullien and Jae Huh. Taking place in the very space where NouNou first began, this exhibition reflects on a decade of memories, friendships, and stories that have shaped the world of NouNou. Meaning “house” in French, Maison represents a place where visitors can experience the universe of NouNou up close. The exhibition brings together archives from the past ten years, original illustrations by Jean Jullien, and a collection of objects, documents, and memories that trace the journey of the brand from its beginnings to the present day. The venue itself holds a special place in this story. Ten years ago, this was Studio Concrete, where Jean Jullien’s first solo exhibition in Korea was presented. It was here that NouNou was born. Since then, the space has hosted two of Jean Jullien’s solo exhibitions, a NouNou pop-up store that marked the brand’s return after a two-year hiatus, and, two years ago, became home to both the Working With Friend gallery and the NouNou flagship store. Layered with friendship, collaboration, and countless shared experiences, this space has witnessed many of the most important moments in NouNou’s history. More than a retrospective, Maison NouNou is an invitation to gather. It is a place to look back on the past ten years with the friends, collaborators, and visitors who have been part of the journey, while imagining the stories that are still to come.
